Getting in Runner’s World

If you followed me much in my training for the Bear Chase half marathon that I did in September, you might have noticed me talking about our ‘class.’  My wife and I were part of a class at Red Rocks Community College called ‘Change Through Challenge, which was actually a business class, and the half marathon was our final exam.

I know, you don’t really think of a half marathon as a final exam for a business course.  It’s a bit of a unique concept, so much so that the course evidently caught the attention of Runner’s World magazine.

You can click the link in the title (or here) to read the story.

Pretty cool to see a story on the class in the magazine.  Congratulations go to Andrew Johnston for doing a great job with this class, which is now wrapping up its third semester and getting ready to start a fourth.  They just may have some openings for the next session that starts in January, if anyone in Colorado is interested!

About Ron Walter

I'm just a guy who was so out of shape he couldn't run to get out of the rain. I'm taking my life back. It's not always perfect, not always successful. The victories though are greater than the defeats. I plan to keep it that way.
