Okay, I’m getting a bit psyched.
Okay, a lot psyched.
If I were to complain about anything at all at this point it would be that the fact that the Bear Chase is this close also means that September is almost over. Where did my summer go?
Oh yeah… running all over the freaking place.
Not that I’m complaining. It’s pretty cool to say I’ve been able to do that.
In 5 days from now I’ll be wearing one of these.
They did end up re-routing the course because of the flooding. But you know, what I found interesting is reading the comments on the facebook page, people are incredibly upbeat about it. The ones who have run this a few years are looking forward to a change of pace. It looks like an incredibly well supported and well organized race. The only part I wonder about is, it’s part of a group of races, the ones that are best known are the ultra distance runs, and those happen on Saturday. The half marathon is a short run compared to all those, so I wonder if it gets second class status in comparison, you know? I think from all I’ve seen so far though, I don’t have much to worry about.
And going back to the good news bad news thing, this one being just good news. We got word this week that the Change Through Challenge class is going to get some press, which is really cool. It’s a great concept and deserves some good recognition. I understand too it might get some evaluation to be possibly taught in other colleges, also really cool.
No bad news to that at all.
